Hasselö is located in Tjust archipelago, midway between Västervik and Loftahammar in northern Småland – without a fixed connection to the mainland. Together with the neighboring island and the nature reserve Sladö, the island is two of the archipelago’s most vibrant islands. Connected with a small bridge they stretch nine kilometers through alternating nature – from leafy deciduous forest and barren pine forest to meadowland and bare cliffs towards open horizon.
